Before and After

We keep meaning to show you before and after shots. Here is a good one from some escutcheons (Key hole covers). When we got them they were black and you could not see what the material they were made from.

Took hard work and elbow grease, but we found they were solid brass escutcheons.

They now look lovely and shiny.

Refresh your furniture

We have a small selection of Furniture Mounts or Garniture. They are made of brass and are free from splits and cracks. You can pin them to your furnitures with small brass pins that are available online and from upholsterers.
You can hide a multitude of sins with them. The odd gauge or scratch suddenly are gone and instead you got a lovely bit of decoration.

Door Pulls and more Pulls

Husband is still getting to grips with his new camera and decided that some categories on our website are not good enough and will need new photos.
One such category is Knobs - centre pulls. Here are a couple of new pictures
This lovely cast iron door pull is just lovely with details. Or how about this brass lion one?
Ah the choices! They are almost endless. Which one is your favourite?
And is this really by Christopher Dresser?
Do tell us your opinions, please?

Dreaming

I spent this morning dreaming about various products from other twitter posts. So did not achieve anything at all really. My lottery numbers have not come up and I don't have that missing ticket for 64 Million Squid that is somewhere in Stevenage I believe.
So onwards and back to the real world with taking pictures and when I got a header I will also get Facebook ready.
There is always so much to do, and I really can't afford to waste a whole morning day dreaming!
New products to be added to our website will resume shortly. I promise.

Victorian Door Furniture

Well we have had some good finds recently. Check out this original Victorian Door furniture.

The pull comes apart into 3 pieces. We have not seen anything like it before. Wonderful condition. The pull has even Foundry marks and registered design number.
